Organise tags without working blind
Tag Steward Ultimate gives administrators a review-first workspace for cleaning up and restructuring WordPress Post Tags and WooCommerce Product Tags.
Before an operation changes content, Tag Steward shows the complete affected scope, proposed assignments and fresh safety checks. Preparation freezes the reviewed scope, and execution proceeds in controlled batches of no more than 10 items. If the content changes unexpectedly, Tag Steward stops the remaining work.
Complete Ultimate operation set
- Create a new tag after checking its proposed name and slug.
- Add a destination tag across one or more selected source scopes.
- Remove one or more selected tags from affected content.
- Rename a tag after checking for name and slug conflicts.
- Replace one source tag with a reviewed destination tag.
- Merge multiple source tags into one reviewed destination.
- Optionally delete eligible empty source terms after successful Replace and Merge operations.
- Process larger operations through controlled multi-batch execution.
Ultimate does not impose an edition-based affected-item ceiling. The safety engine still processes verified batches of no more than 10 items at a time.
Published and Draft counts
Ultimate displays separate Published and Draft counts in the tag table. Other editable statuses, including private, pending and scheduled content, remain visible in the complete affected-content preview.
Protected Classifications
Protected Classifications add stronger visibility and stop-on-drift checks for important non-target taxonomy terms.
- Post Tag mode supports Categories and eligible public custom Post taxonomies.
- Product Tag mode supports Product Categories, brands, attributes and eligible public Product taxonomies.
- Post and Product protection settings remain separate.
- Post Tags and Product Tags cannot themselves be Protected Classifications.
History and conservative recovery
Tag Steward records relevant content state before an operation and verifies the result as it proceeds. Private operation history and recovery records remain available to the administrator who prepared them. Recovery is offered only when Tag Steward can prove the recorded restoration is complete and the current state remains compatible.
Tag Steward never intentionally publishes, unpublishes or deletes posts or products.
One licence, two installation choices
Most customers should install Tag Steward Ultimate Standalone. It contains the complete product in one plugin and does not require Lite.
Customers who prefer to keep the free WordPress.org edition installed can use the Ultimate Add-on alongside Tag Steward Lite.
Both downloads use the same Ultimate licence. Switching between them does not require another purchase, but Standalone must not run alongside Lite or the Add-on. Deactivating a distribution does not erase Tag Steward settings, history or recovery records.

“Multi-Site Licence” describes the production website allowance. WordPress Multisite is licensed per subsite; network-wide activation is not supported.
Prices are in Australian dollars. GST is not charged.
Optional renewals
Renewal is a separate one-time purchase, not an automatic subscription. It extends one verified existing licence while retaining the same key and activation records.

If the current term is still active, the renewal is added to its existing end date. If it has expired, the new term begins when the renewal payment is successfully fulfilled. An ordinary repeat purchase creates a separate new licence key.
Use My Account > Renew Tag Steward when signed in. Customers without an account can use the separate Tag Steward renewal page with their existing key and original billing email.
Updates and support
An active updates-and-support term provides authenticated Ultimate updates through the normal WordPress Plugins screen. The update service verifies the licence entitlement and package identity before installation.
When the term expires, the installed Ultimate version continues to function. Newer Ultimate releases and ongoing support require renewal. Refunded, suspended or revoked licences do not provide Ultimate service access.

Privacy
Tag processing, previews, settings, operation history and recovery data remain inside the customer’s WordPress installation. Ultimate licence and update requests do not transmit post, product, tag or recovery content.

Important operating notice
Review every preview and preflight result before applying an operation. Maintain a current restorable backup and test significant changes on staging when practical. WordPress installations can contain third-party plugins, themes, custom code and hosting behaviour that cannot be tested in every combination.
Nothing in this notice excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Tag Steward Lite?
No. Ultimate Standalone contains everything required. The Ultimate Add-on is provided for customers who prefer to keep WordPress.org Lite installed.
Are the Single-Site and Multi-Site plugins different?
No. Both plans download the same two packages and provide identical Ultimate features. Only the production activation allowance differs.
Is this a subscription?
No. The initial price and each renewal are one-time purchases. There are no automatic renewal charges.
What happens when updates and support expire?
The installed licensed version continues to function. Renewal is required for newer Ultimate releases and ongoing support.
Does a staging website consume a production activation?
Each licence includes up to two conservatively recognised non-production activations. Ambiguous public hostnames are treated as production sites.
Does Multi-Site mean WordPress Multisite network activation?
No. It means use on up to 10 production websites. WordPress Multisite is licensed per subsite and network-wide activation is not supported.
Does Tag Steward delete posts or products?
No. Ultimate can optionally delete eligible empty source tag terms after Replace or Merge, but it never intentionally deletes posts or products.
Can I move from Add-on to Standalone later?
Yes. Deactivate Lite and the Add-on, install Standalone, then verify the same licence. The distribution change does not consume another production slot for the same licensed website.
