Tag Steward Ultimate Licence and Service Terms

Last updated: 4 October 2026

These terms apply to paid Tag Steward Ultimate purchases from Jays n Dees. They describe the commercial activation, authenticated update-delivery and support services supplied with the software. Tag Steward Ultimate is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. Nothing in these commercial terms removes or restricts rights granted by that software licence.

1. Licence plans

Single-Site permits one active production website. Multi-Site permits up to ten active production websites. Both plans provide the same Ultimate features and up to two recognised non-production activations.

Non-production status is recognised conservatively from both the WordPress environment and website hostname. Ambiguous public hostnames may be counted as production sites.

“Multi-Site” describes the website activation allowance. WordPress Multisite is licensed per subsite and network-wide activation is not supported.

2. Installation distributions

A valid entitlement provides access to both Ultimate Standalone and the Ultimate Add-on. Standalone contains the complete product. The Add-on requires the free Tag Steward Lite plugin from WordPress.org.

The same licence may be used when moving between those distributions on the same licensed website. Standalone must not operate alongside Lite or the Add-on.

3. Included updates and support

The initial purchase includes 12 months of authenticated Ultimate updates and support. When that term expires, the installed licensed version continues to function, but newer Ultimate releases and ongoing support are unavailable until the licence is renewed.

Continued operation does not promise lifetime updates, lifetime support, permanent compatibility with future WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP or third-party changes, or permanently available online services. Customers should retain their purchased installers and current site backups.

4. Renewals

Renewals are optional one-time purchases. There are no automatic renewal charges.

  • Single-Site: A$35 for 1 year or A$90 for 3 years.
  • Multi-Site: A$110 for 1 year or A$285 for 3 years.

A verified renewal extends one explicitly selected existing licence by 12 or 36 calendar months. If its current term is still active, the extension begins from the existing end date. If it has expired, the extension begins when the renewal is successfully fulfilled. The existing key remains in place.

An ordinary new purchase creates a separate licence key and is not treated as a renewal merely because the same customer or email address is used.

Prices are in Australian dollars. Jays n Dees is not currently registered for GST, so GST is not charged.

5. Activation and verification

Ultimate verifies its activation before beginning a new Ultimate operation. Temporary connectivity failures use bounded cached-state handling. Confirmed refunded, suspended, blacklisted or revoked licences do not provide Ultimate service access.

Website moves and clones require an administrator-confirmed activation transfer. Verification does not silently move an activation to a different website address.

Licence enforcement does not publish, unpublish or delete site content and does not remove Tag Steward settings, operation history or recovery records.

6. Updates and package delivery

Commercial updates are offered through WordPress’s native plugin updater when the licence has an active update entitlement. Download tickets are short-lived and the package identity, size and checksum are verified before installation.

Customers receive both Ultimate installers with the initial purchase. The Standalone package is recommended for new Ultimate installations; the Add-on is available for customers retaining Lite.

7. Support scope

Support during an active term covers documented installation, licensing, updates, operation and reproducible product defects. It does not include custom development, general administration of a customer’s website, data entry or comprehensive diagnosis of unrelated third-party products unless separately agreed.

Support requests must not include passwords, complete licence keys or customer content unless Jays n Dees specifically provides a secure method and requests the minimum information necessary.

8. Customer responsibilities and safety

Customers must maintain a current restorable backup, review affected-content and proposed-state previews, read preflight results and confirm the completed operation. Significant changes should be tested on staging when practical.

Tag Steward’s recovery system is deliberately conservative and is not a substitute for backups. Recovery can be blocked when a complete safe restoration cannot be proven.

9. Refunds and entitlement changes

Digital-product refund requests are handled under the Jays n Dees Refunds and Returns Policy and applicable law.

When an initial-purchase order is fully refunded, licences issued by that order are marked Refunded and Ultimate service access is removed. Partial refunds are reviewed manually so the affected licence can be identified correctly.

When an eligible renewal order is fully refunded, its exact extension is reversed only when the prior entitlement can be restored safely. The original licence remains under its previous terms. Partial renewal refunds, earlier renewals followed by later entitlement changes, and any case that cannot be reversed exactly require manual review.

10. Privacy

Tag processing and operation records remain on the customer’s WordPress site. Ultimate licensing and update requests transmit only the credential or activation information, generated installation identifier, website URL, environment type, distribution and software versions needed to provide those services. Normal network information such as an IP address is also received. Post, product, tag and recovery content is not transmitted by these requests.

See the Jays n Dees Privacy Policy for further information.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
